Opt-out Consent
Your Personal Information
Your personal information identifies you as a person, such as your name and address, age, gender, identification numbers, as well as non-sensitive information. Sharing personal information can only be done with your consent.
Consent Request
In consideration of photographs taken of you, and upon the terms stated herein, The Saskatchewan Chapter of the Credit Institute of Canada, and their representatives who are acting with authority and permission, request the following rights to share these photographs with other members and the general public.
1. The irrevocable and unrestricted right and permission to copyright in the Chapter's name or otherwise use, reuse, publish, and republish photographs of you or in which you may be included, in whole or in part, as part of a composite or distorted in character or form, without restriction as to changes or alterations, or reproductions thereof in color or otherwise, made through any medium, and in any and all media now or hereafter known for illustration, art, promotion, advertising, trade, publishing, or any other purpose whatsoever.
2. The use of any printed material in connection therewith.
3. To approve the finished product or products or other matter that may be used in connection therewith or the use to which it may be applied.
4. To save harmless the Credit Institute of Canada, representatives and assigns, and all persons acting under permission or authority or those for whom the Chapter is acting, from any liability by virtue of any blurring, distortion, alteration, optical illusion, or use in composite form whether intentional or otherwise, that may occur or be produced in the taking of said pictures or in any subsequent processing thereof, as well as any publication thereof, including without limitation any claims for libel or invasion of privacy.
Your Choice
Opt-out consent is a form of authorization expressly permitted by the Privacy Act in certain circumstances, notably, where the personal information is of a demonstrably non-sensitive nature.
If you consent to photos of yourself to be shared by CIC Saskatchewan Chapter, such as their website or newsletters, you don't need to take any action.
If you wish to have certain photos of yourself removed from on-line, you may opt-out by sending an e-mail to:
