Saskatchewan Chapter

Annual General Meeting (AGM)
April 23, 2009
I would like to thank each of you for attending the AGM this evening for the Credit Institute, Sask. Chapter. We have had another successful year within the chapter.

This past year, we offered two golf tournaments, one in Saskatoon in June and one in Regina in September. We also offered a seminar in Regina in November. We had excellent attendance at each of our functions.

Our membership this year has decreased slightly from 60 down to 55 memberships this year which includes CCP's, ACI, CCP (Emeritus) Honorary and affiliates. Our education students have declined with only a few takng the courses offered by the Credit Institute. Our focus this year and next year, wil be to increase our membership and students within the Chapter. We wil continue with the referral bonus for those that encourage and have new members sign up with the chapter.

Thanks to Darlean Weigetz and all her hard work and dedication, she has redesigned our website with the new branding and we purchased new software to make her job easier and more efficient as these changes are required. With the new branding, we will be purchasing in 2009 a new banner that can be shown at our functions which will increase the exposure of the Credit Institute.

The National Conference is drawing near, being held June 17-19th in Winnpeg, MB. With the drastic downturn in today's economy, we wil be encouraging members and non-members to participate in the conference so we have as many representatives from Saskatchewan as possible.

Thans to the entire executive this year for your dedication and hard-work with the Chapter. I appreciate your time that you give as volunteers to keep ths Chapter active. I would especially like to than Geri Meyer who has helped me a great deal this year, and Susan English who holds a position on the National Board and keeps us well informed of National issues. I look forward to working with all of you in the next year, as your efforts help make this Chapter a success.
